The Freedom occurrence is not well located but is believed to be on or near Eric Creek.

The area is underlain by basaltic and andesitic flows of the Upper Triassic Karmutsen Formation (Vancouver Group). These volcanics were intruded by stocks of quartz diorite of the Late Eocene to Early Oligocene Mount Washington Intrusive Suite (formerly Catface Intrusions), as well as several felsite dikes.

Locally, a shear or fracture zone hosts massive magnetite and chalcopyrite mineralization. A grab sample (EMC 91208-2) assayed 1.565 grams per tonne gold, 14.3 grams per tonne silver and 5.7 per cent copper (Assessment Report 30781).

During 2008 through 2011, G. Thorsen prospected the area as the Freedom claims.
